Iconographic research and project proposal for the identity of Pesaro-Urbino district. A huge group of signs, icons, symbols, typography, images, logos collected during the research expressed by itself the identity of that district spontaneously, almost unconsciously. So it’s inevitable to ask to yourself, if it’s useful and necessary to design another brand-new logo.
An alphabet of signs was born from there, composed of excellent companies logos, artisanal ornamental motifs, sport teams emblems, cultural realities trademarks, territorial certification symbols, recurring aesthetic elements in the landscape, peculiar architectures and public signs, etc. In this way, the image of the territory is narrated dynamically through symbolic stimula, assimilating and systematizing them into ever-changing self-portraits of the territory.
